The National Capital Commission (NCC) has a requirement for cooling mats and all their components to provide a refrigerated ice surface the size of the existing perimeter. The requirement consists of the supply, installation, removal and storage preparation, including training in-house staff on both processes and two sites visits during the first season. The nature of NCC’s research activities requires the cooling system to be an EPDM* solution cooling mats suitable for rolling up and storing for seasonal take down. * EPDM rubber (ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber) is a type of synthetic rubber.
