This initiative is part of the 2025/26 NAAR commitment and aims to enhance access to primary care by enabling people to consult a GP online at their local pharmacy, with a particular focus on supporting individuals who face challenges in accessing or enrolling with a general practice. Selected pharmacies will receive funding to support the establishment of private, digitally enabled space within their pharmacy where patients can complete an Online GP consultation. This provides a convenient and trusted access point for primary care, particularly in communities experiencing access pressures. Health NZ will be using an on-line form for you to complete in order to register your interest. We are also using standard ROI terms to govern this EOI process.
