ASA-RFI-STA002: Nuclear Awareness Training

Description

Part of the STA’s strategic intent is to develop and qualify the industrial workforce to remain within the nuclear-powered submarine (NPS) and naval shipbuilding and sustainment (NSS) industry. One of the STA’s initiatives will see the development of an entry-level, nuclear awareness course.This course will provide the outcomes required to recognise the key safety and security risks in a licensed naval nuclear facility when operating or supporting the operation of naval nuclear reactors, as well as the control measures that need to be taken to remove or reduce these risks. The course will focus on developing fundamental knowledge and skills that can be applied in a range of industry areas working in a licensed naval nuclear facility.
