Our objective is to establish an accredited list of pre-screened suppliers in this field of work that the Ministry and schools can refer to should they need it for their property projects. All suppliers who wish to provide the Ministry and schools with asbestos surveying, assessment, removal and remediation, and analysis services, including those through sub-contracting, must be pre-qualified under the relevant services category on the accredited suppliers list. This is to ensure that all asbestos-related activities are conducted safely, effectively, and in compliance with current regulations, thus, safeguarding the health and safety of all individuals involved. This Invitation to Qualify (ITQ) is an open invitation to service providers who are interested in delivering asbestos related services for school properties, to submit an application for the Accredited List of Suppliers – Asbestos-related Services. We welcome applications from the following service categories: • asbestos consultants (asbestos surveyors and licensed asbestos assessors) • licensed asbestos removalists • IANZ accredited laboratories – asbestos analysis There will be no limit on the number of suppliers appointed to the accredited suppliers list. The opportunity to join is open to everyone who meets the accreditation requirements detailed in the ITQ documents attached. Service providers who are not yet ready to submit an application by the deadline for this initial intake are welcome to apply at any time thereafter. The Ministry will ensure an application channel remains open for ongoing applications. All enquiries in relation to this ITQ must be directed to the Point of Contact through the GETS question/answer function (preferred) or by email .
