Introduction and Background • Corby Cube is the headquarters of North Northamptonshire council, comprising among other uses a Council Chamber on Level 02; and Theatre between Basement Level -2 and Level 01. • It is understood that noise transfer from the Theatre during productions is leading to high noise levels in the Council Chamber and complaints have been received from councillors regarding high noise levels. • Sound Solution Consultants (SSC) were commissioned to carry out an investigation to determine the extent of the issue and recommend remedial measures. 2.
