The purpose of the modification is to incorporate monthly operations and maintenance of recent equipment upgrades used to change the functionality of the turnstiles in the agency’s headquarters lobby, as well as enhanced security of doors. Kastle Systems LLC is the sole proprietor of the system and does not permit any other company to provide maintenance and operations services for the equipment. The Government intends to procure this requirement under the authority of 41 U.S.C. § 1901, as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 12.102(a) per the Revolutionary FAR Overhaul.
