The Department of Corrections is currently intending to issue the RFP via email in early to mid-September. Current services end 30 November 2025 and we are planning to extend these to end 30 May 2026 with new services arising from this procurement starting 1 June 2026. The Department aims to engage Dentists to come into the Departments managed prison sites to provide high-quality and effective dental services addressing the dental needs of people in prison. All people that deliver these dental services must be registered with the Dental Council of New Zealand and hold a current annual practicing certificate. The procurement is being run via email. GETS is being used to advertise the opportunity.
