{"description":"D.1 Statement of Work\n\n This statement of work is for the annual inspection and testing of our facility's liquid-filled transformers at the Robert J. Dole VA Medical Center located at 5500 E. Kellogg Ave. Wichita, Kansas 67218. All Inspections shall be done according to IEEE C57 standards and other specifications that may apply, such as NFPA 70B, the Life Safety Code, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, and VA Regulations.\n\n The contractor shall provide (Base with four option years) all labor, personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform a facility-wide annual transformer inspection.\n\n1. Description of Work\nVisual Inspection: Conduct a thorough visual inspection for signs of physical damage, leaks, and corrosion. Visually inspect the transformer grounding.\nOil Sampling and Analysis: Obtain oil samples for chromatographic analysis to assess the oil condition and identify problems.\nRecord Keeping: Document inspection findings, including test results of the chromatographic analysis.\nContractor will provide one digital copy of the inspection and findings, and one paper copy 3-ringed bound.\n\n2. Requirements\nThe contractor shall provide all materials, tools, test equipment, and incidentals (travel expenses and transportation charges) necessary to inspect the facility's liquid-filled transformers.\n\nHours: Work must be performed within the facility's regular work hours, which are Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (CST). Scheduling shall be coordinated with the facility maintenance point of contact and will be designated once it is awarded. Services will be confirmed and approved by the facility maintenance Point of Contact or their designated representative. The contractor must report to the Engineering Office, building 20, each day, where he/she will sign in and out at the beginning and end of each day.\n\nProperty Damage: The contractor shall take all necessary precautions to prevent damage to any Government property and will notify the contracting officer representative or POC immediately if damages occur. The Contracting Officer will authorize the contractor to remedy the situation in one of the following: be assessed current replacement costs for damaged property, replace damaged property in a timely manner, or correct the damages with like materials at no additional cost. \n\nIdentification, Parking, Smoking, and VA Regulations: The contractor's employees shall obtain a contractor's badge from the Engineering office in Building 20. The contractor must always acquire a badge for each worker and ensure that the badge will be worn in a visible location on the worker while on the premises of the VA property. It s the responsibility of the contractor to park in the appropriate designated parking areas. Information on parking is available from the VA Police. The VA will not invalidate or make reimbursement for parking violations of the contractor under any conditions. Smoking is prohibited inside the VA premises. Smoking is available off site or outside the boundaries of the VA premises. Possession of a firearm on the VA premises is prohibited. Enclosed containers, tool bags, or tool kits are subject to search. Violations of VA regulations may result in a citation answerable in the United States District Court. \n\n3.
