This Sources Sought announcement is intended to determine the availability and technical capability of businesses to provide the required supplies. \n\n BACKGROUND: \n\n Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) is seeking information for market research purposes for the procurement of TR-343 Transducer Ceramic Stack Assemblies used in the manufacturing of the TR-343 Sonar Transducer. ​ TR-343 Transducer Ceramic Stack Assemblies are a component of the TR-343 Transducer system and under the cognizance of Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane Division. The TR-343 Transducer is part of the AN/SQS-53C Hull-Mounted Sonar Array, which is a component of the AN/SQQ-89(V) Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) System. The AN/SQQ-89(V) is a fully-integrated Surface Ship Undersea Warfare (USW) combat system with the capability to search, detect, classify, localize, and attack submarine targets. The TR-343 Transducer Ceramic Stack Assemblies are critical components necessary to provide the required piezoelectric characteristics to produce mechanical motion in the water for generation of sonar signals when a large voltage is applied. \n\n REQUESTED INFORMATION: \n\n Interested parties are requested to provide the information that identifies its capability to provide TR-343 Transducer Ceramic Stack Assemblies described herein.
