We invite you to review the attachment to the Request for Information and provide your feedback on the upcoming procurement for Waihoehoe Road Upgrade: Construction. Particularly, we would like to know if you will be interested in participating in the tender, and your preferred contractual relationship with HEB Construction who will be deliver the bridge piles and pile caps. This RFI provides high-level project information ahead of the tender which will be advertised separately. This notice is provided as an early indication only of the contract scope and will not form part of any future tender documents or contract documents. Waihoehoe Road Upgrade: Construction scope at a glance: • Replace the existing two-lane bridge with a new six-lane bridge, including provisions for cycling and footpath. • Manage HEB’s construction of the bridge piles and pile caps. • Upgrade the existing roundabout with Great South Road to a signalised intersection. • Construct a new signalised intersection at Kath Henry Lane to provide access to the new Drury Railway Station. The Station is being delivered by KiwiRail. • Demolish the existing road and bridge, as well as several surrounding commercial and residential buildings. • Completion by mid-2028.
