Description

The University of Waikato invites proposals for the provision of a Research and Ethics Management System (RMS) to support the full lifecycle of research activity. This procurement forms part of a broader programme to modernise research administration, governance, and reporting across the University. The solution will replace legacy and manual processes with an integrated, configurable platform that improves efficiency, transparency, and compliance. The University is seeking a modern, off-the-shelf solution that: - Supports a project-centric research lifecycle, linking proposals, funding, ethics, contracts and governance - Provides end-to-end research ethics management (human and animal) - Enables structured data capture and reporting for institutional insight - Integrates with enterprise systems (e.g. Finance, HR, identity and research systems) - Supports a phased implementation approach, with ethics management as the initial priority (target operational by end of 2026) The University is not seeking bespoke or heavily customised solutions, or disconnected point solutions.
