The project comprises three major elements: 1. Refurbishment of the historic theatre building, with extensions to the northern and western facades to expand and accommodate essential Front of House and Back of House Facilities. 2. A separate new-build Museum / Heritage Centre to be located on the upper half of the site (previously designated for car parking) west of the theatre and abutting Barnard Street. 3. A public open space and Laneway connecting Barnard Street and Stafford Street, to the immediate north of the existing theatre, and partially extending into the footprint of the Criterion Hotel Building. This Request for Tender (RFT) aims to select and appoint a Civil Contractor to undertake advance works on the site.
