*** PRE-RELEASE NOTICE ****This is a pre-release notice to provide advance notification that the NCA is preparing to approach the market for the provision of Open Space Maintenance Services (‘the Services’).The relevant approach to market documentation for the Services will be released through AusTender, anticipated in September 2025, or soon thereafter.The NCA will be seeking a qualified service delivery partner to perform place presentation and general maintenance of some of the most nationally significant places in the Nation’s Capital (including the Parliamentary Zone) which the NCA manages on behalf of the Australian Government.The Services are broad ranging and include:Management and maintenance of parklands and soft landscapesManagement and presentation of 120+ places and memorialsMaintaining playgrounds and equipmentManagement of conservation areasManagement of flag displaysWeed, disease and pest controlStreet and carpark sweepingWaste managementWithout limiting the NCA’s rights, if it were to contract at the conclusion of the planned procurement process, its intention is to enter into a single contract with a single legal entity that will be the party responsible for the provision of the required open Space Maintenance Services.Prospective tenderers should regularly check AusTender for updates, and not approach NCA personnel.
