Kent Institution Fence Replacement – Supply and Install This requirement is for: The Correctional Service of Canada, CORCAN Pacific Region Trade agreement: Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA). Policy on Reciprocal Procurement: This solicitation is open only to Canadian suppliers. Competitive Procurement Strategy: lowest priced compliant bid. Set-aside under the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business: This procurement is not subject to any set-asides for Indigenous Suppliers. Comprehensive Land Claim Agreement: This procurement is not subject to a Comprehensive Land Claims Agreement. Security Requirements: This contract does not include security requirements. Nature of Requirements: This is a two-phase invitation process. Bidders responding to this Invitation to Tender (ITT) must submit a bid in two phases. During Phase One, Bidders are invited to submit bids according to the selection procedure described in Phase One. Bidders will only have to submit the Phase One documents included in the ITT. Under Phase One, CSC will assess Bidders’ qualifications and experience in order to determine which bids are responsive. Once Phase One bid evaluation is completed, CSC will advise bidders of whether or not their bid is responsive. During Phase Two, CSC will invite Bidders who submitted responsive bids for Phase One to submit a bid for Phase Two. Responsive Bidders will have to submit the Phase Two documents included in the ITT as part of Phase Two. The following is a summary of the statement of work for this requirement. The Correctional Service of Canada (CSC) has a requirement for the Supply and Installation of a Fence at Kent Institution. The existing fencing at Kent Institution surrounding Private Family Visits buildings 1, 2 & 3 is insufficiently high at 2.5M. This poses a security risk and necessitates the replacement of that fence. Objectives: The Contractor must supply and install approximately 190M of fencing with 3.6M high Chain link fence and Concertina wire to ensure the safety and security of the facility. Any conditions for participation of suppliers not specified in solicitation documentation: none. Estimated quantity of commodity: see solicitation document statement of work and basis of payment. The debriefing may be in writing, by telephone or in person.
