RFx ID: 32936328 Organisation: Waipa District Council Open date: Wednesday, 5 November 2025 2:00 PM +13:00 Close date: Tuesday, 16 December 2025 2:00 PM +13:00 Categories: 81101500 - Civil engineering 83101500 - Water and sewer utilities Region: Waikato Overview: Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to engage in an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) arrangement to support the design finalisation, early procurement planning, and eventual delivery of the new Alpha Street Water Treatment Plant in Cambridge. This project will replace the existing plant and increase treatment capacity to 6.5 ML/day, enhancing water supply resilience, operational flexibility, and service levels for the growing Cambridge community. The contractor will work closely with Council and the design consultant (PDP Consultants) to: • Provide input into the final design and construction methodology. • Assist with identifying and planning the procurement of additional long-lead items. • Develop a firm, auditable construction price for the subsequent physical works contract. • Prepare for delivery of construction works anticipated to commence in March 2026. This contract works will utilise a NZ3910:2013 contract. The ECI contractor will have the opportunity to continue on to the construction phase (Separable Portion 2) subject to satisfactory performance during the ECI phase and agreement on price.
