Description
{"description":" NASA Ames Research Center (ARC) intends to extend the Ames Facilities Support Services (AFSS) contract (#NNA15BB23C) with Amentum Technical Services, Inc. on a sole-source basis pursuant to 10 U.S.C 2304(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements , in support of ARC and its various missions. \n\n This extension will allow for the continued performance of comprehensive institutional facilities operation and maintenance services, including the following craft and technical areas, necessary to ensure that equipment and facilities are capable of supporting the various missions at NASA ARC: roads and other surfaced areas, facility alarm systems, fire suppression systems, buildings and structures, mechanical systems, utility systems, HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution and emergency generating systems, lifting devices, and grounds maintenance and pest control. Currently, NASA ARC is in the process of sourcing the Ames Facilities Support Services (AFSS) II contract, which is the follow-on effort to AFSS. However, this extension is necessary given that the phase-in of AFSS II is not anticipated to occur prior to the end of the period of performance for AFSS. \n\n The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial product or commercial service using FAR Part 12. \n\n Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Christopher D. Lockridge-Mehetabel at christopher.d.lockridge-mehetabel@nasa.gov not later than 3pm PT on January 2, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. \n\n NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable.
