Kitimat River Hatchery – Well 84-3 Repair and Re-Development

Description

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) intends to undertake redevelopment and equipment replacement work on an existing high capacity groundwater well (Well 84 3) at the Kitimat River Hatchery, located in Kitimat, British Columbia. The well supplies groundwater to critical aquaculture operations and is located adjacent to the Kitimat River in a confined sand and gravel aquifer. The work is technically specialized and will require contractors with demonstrated experience in groundwater well redevelopment, submersible pump installation, and confined space well work.
