The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Abbott Laboratory. \n\n Acquisition Description: \n\n DESCRIPTION OF THE SUPPLIES AND SERVICES REQUIRED TO MEET THE AGENCY'S NEEDS \nThe (4) Abbott Laboratories iStat 1 analyzer and 3-year service contract includes: \n \n- (4) i-STAT 1 Non-Wireless analyzers \n- 3-year Comprehensive Device Service Plan \n- Unlimited Equipment Returns \n- Unlimited Associated Items Returns \n- Additional Analyzers prorated \n- Equipment Replacement \n- Reconditioned Products \n\n The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
