The DCC’s objective is to ensure the safe and responsible management of its nine dams. Routine tasks include: • Carry out Intermediate Dam Safety Reviews (IDSR) per the DCC programme. • Carry out Comprehensive Dam Safety Reviews (CDSR) per the DCC programme. • Certify the DSAP for the medium Potential Impact Classification (PIC) dams. • Review and approve the six Annual Dam Compliance Certificates. • Facilitate an annual desktop Emergency Action Plan (EAP) exercise. • Facilitate a full EAP simulation every 5 years. • Review the Dam’s PIC every 5 years. In addition to the above, non-routine tasks include seismic investigations and assessments and Management, Surveillance, and Quality Assurance (MSQA) support and oversight for capital projects that address identified Issues. The Provider must be a Recognised Engineer for DSAP and Potential Impact Classification (PIC) review and certification purposes. We seek to partner with a Provider for the long term with a contract of up to 9 years, 7 months, subject to performance. We want a Provider that is proactive, allocates staff resources efficiently, takes ownerships, meets deadlines and can demonstrate a dynamic approach to their work.
