Digital transformation of the IT system of the Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT)

Description

The Statistical Office of Montenegro (MONSTAT) needs to implement a digital transformation of the IT system with the scope to make more data available for tackling societal, climate and environment-related challenges, contributing to healthier, more prosperous and more sustainable society. This goal will be reached by implementing two activities: 1) enabling technical services for the exchange and usage of data needed for the production of official statistics, owned by private and public sector and 2) modernizing the technology for data collection, processing and dissemination. The action is based on the priorities outlined in the Development Strategy of Official Statistics 2024-2028 and incorporate lessons from recent user satisfaction survey that note the need for using the potentials of new technologies for statistical purposes. MONSTAT will need to be active in developing new methods for data collection and creating new services related to data delivery for society. Considering the above, the upgrade and improvement of the collection methods and processes in official statistics, especially the delivery and dissemination of MONSTAT services, should be at the highest possible level.
