Taupo Mechanical Upgrade

Description

The purpose of this notice is to provide advance notification to the market of New Zealand Police’s intention to release a tender for the Taupo Police Base Mechanical Upgrade. The Taupō Police Base Mechanical HVAC Replacement Project involves the refurbishment and upgrade of the existing mechanical services systems serving the building. The project will implement the preferred concept design option which replaces the existing heating and cooling systems with new air source heat pump chillers and associated distribution infrastructure. The successful respondent will be engaged as the main contractor and will be responsible for coordinating all subcontractors and delivering the mechanical upgrade works in accordance with the issued design documentation. The scope of this opportunity will be fully documented in the tender, however, will include - Mechanical Plant Replacement - Pipework and Mechanical Distribution - Fan Coil and Air Distribution Upgrades - Ventilation and BMS Integration - Removal of Redundant Systems - Associated Building Works The tender is intended to be released via the Government Electronic Tenders Service (“GETS”) from 11 May 2026. Note 1: New Zealand Police Non Disclosure Agreement will be required to be signed prior to full documentation is released Note 2: No information from suppliers is requested nor required from this advance notice. Suppliers who are interested in being part of the proposed tender should ensure that they are registered to receive GETS notifications for the applicable RFx Categories and are subscribed to this notice.
