Call for External Collaborator – Communications Support for Better Work

Dear Bidder, The International Labour Office (ILO) is looking for an individual to undertake work as an External Collaborator. This assignment involves handling requests on different communication-related aspects of the Better Work programme, including website updates, document reviews, sourcing photos, offering guidance on branding, managing website publications and daily social media updates, supporting the post-sharepoint migration of internal content, and supporting automated event notifications and news alerts via Microsoft Power Automate platform. We expect the selected communications consultant to demonstrate strong responsiveness, maintaining availability via email, phone, or online chat for timely material turnaround. Successful candidates will be adept at accurately estimating the time required for comprehensive communications work, effectively communicating questions, and proposing recommendations for enhancements. Familiarity with the ILO and Better Work Brand Guidelines is essential. Consultants will be required to provide time estimates for all deliverables and actively monitor the hours utilized against their contract. The responsibilities for this assignment include, but are not limited to, the following annual deliverables: • Website Support (Maintenance and Design) • Support Social Media Communication: Co-develop content to post, support on visuals, brainstorming new ideas, identify new content opportunities for social media. • Creation of an automated event notification and news alerts via Microsoft Power Automate platform. • Support country programmes on the development of other communications products. • Support managing the post-sharepoint migration: Manage ad-hoc requests to locate files, organise folders, move content and provide access to different teams for Better Work • Miscellaneous Communications Requests: Supporting specific country program communication projects Please submit your proposal before the deadline.
