Introduction Country: BAHRAIN Description of the Assignment: GEF 7 – EARLY ACTION SUPPORT ON THE GLOBAL BIODIVERSITY FRAMEWORK (GBF-EAS) The objective of this global project is to fast-track readiness and early actions to implement the Kunming Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework by providing financial and technical support to GEF-eligible Parties to the United Nations Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) in their work to align their National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), including national biodiversity targets, monitoring, policy, and finance frameworks with the Global Biodiversity Framework of the CBD. Each of the participating countries, based on their current priorities, are using the grant to undertake activities that accelerate progress on achieving the Global Biodiversity Framework. Period of assignment/services: September to November 2025 Proposal should be submitted directly in the portal no later than indicated deadline.
