Introduction UNDP Mongolia Country Office is looking for a national legal entity who will perform the following assignment. Improving Adaptive Capacity and Risk Management of Rural Communities in Mongolia (ADAPT)’’ Project Duration: 18 months Scope of work: The objective of the assignment is to formally verify, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, that the Bumbat Red Goat is adapted to high ‑ mountain pasture ecosystems and exhibits superior cashmere yield and quality compared to other goat breeds and strains, and to develop a policy and strategic framework, grounded in modern genetic science, to guide its sustainable breeding and improvement, and to establish enabling conditions for its effective implementation . The strategy will aim to preserve the herd’s key economic, production and biological traits, including climate resilience, capacity for weight gain under pasture grazing conditions , and meat characteristics, while maintaining cashmere quality, increasing yield at appropriate levels, and strengthening the genetic pool.
