Background: The C.W VA Medical Center EMS Grounds requests to purchase a grapple truck to help pick up downed trees and limbs after hurricanes and severe weather events. This will help with proficiency and timeliness in clearing roads and parking lots. This truck can also be used when trimming trees. The grapple truck will pick up debris much more efficiently and effectively than by hand. This truck is also needed for regular tasks such as clearing paths in the conservancy. In 2024, EMS Grounds assisted with the cleanup of the Bay Pines Medical Center and Lee County Healthcare campuses after the two major hurricanes in 2024. Cleanup efforts were delayed because EMS Grounds did not have the means to remove very large fallen trees and hefty quantities of debris. EMS had to procure emergency purchase orders to have vendors come and provide the services that our own staff would have been able to accomplish with a grapple truck. \n"} Solicitation Number: 36C24826Q0329 Type: Solicitation Base Type: Solicitation NAICS: 333924 Classification Code: 2320 Response Deadline: 2026-03-02T14:00:00-05:00 Office Address: TAMPA, FL Place of Performance: Bay Pines, Florida, 33744 POC: Michael A Shook, Michael.Shook@va.gov {"description":" Scope of Work: C.W.
