{"description":" The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Portland District intends to issue a firm-fixed price (FFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB) No. W9127N26BA003 to meet the requirements of the West Coast Hopper Maintenance Dredging 2026. This dredging project includes work at Humboldt Bay Bar and Entrance (HUM) in California, Coos Bay Entrance (COO) in Oregon, the Mouth of the Columbia River (MCR), the Lower Columbia River (LCR) in Oregon and Washington, and East Sand Island (ESI) in Oregon. \n\n The contractor shall furnish a suitable hopper dredge and support equipment to perform all work required to remove the specified materials from within the dredging pay area limits. The anticipated period of performance for work is 1 April 2026 through 15 December 2026. The required start date at LCR will be between 15 June 2026 and 10 July 2026. Water quality monitoring will be required in accordance with the current water quality certificates. \n\n Approximately 3,200,000 cubic yards of routine maintenance dredging at HUM, LCR, and MCR will be included as mandatory line items, with additional optional items including HUM, COO, and ESI for approximately 1,600,000 cubic yards, to be awarded based on project needs and availability of funding. \n\n USACE intends to host the first virtual pre-solicitation meeting on 13 November 2025 at 9:30 am Pacific Time with a second virtual pre-solicitation meeting on 12 January 2026 to openly share information and discuss the project and assumptions prior to the solicitation being issued.
