{"description":" PRESOLICITATION NOTIFICATION \n\n SPRDL126R0006 \n\n Item Name: CLUTCH,FAN,ENGINE \n\n NSN: 2930-01-168-7870 \n\n Part No: 12339407/19207 \n\n Base Period Quantity: 5772 EA \n\n Option Period Quantity: 100% option \n\n End Item: High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). \n\n TDP top level drawing is source controlled. \n\n End Item: The Fan Clutch, Engine, is used on all versions of the HMMWV, including the basic, A1 & A2 models. \n\n The Government does not have rights to the Technical Data Package (TDP) or specifications. \n\n A device designed to deliver variable fan speeds to the engine pulley ratios responsive to the cooling demands of the engine. May include hub, mounting device, thermal air valve and the like. \n\n Engine fan clutches are components of the engine cooling system in non-aircraft vehicles. They belong to the supply class of Engine Cooling System Components, Nonaircraft, which is part of the supply group Engine Accessories. \n\n \n\n The engine fan clutch is responsible for controlling the operation of the engine cooling fan. It is typically located between the engine and the fan and is connected to the fan blades. The main purpose of the fan clutch is to regulate the speed of the cooling fan based on the engine's temperature. \n\n \n\n When the engine is running at normal operating temperatures, the fan clutch allows the fan to rotate freely, resulting in minimal resistance and noise. This helps improve fuel efficiency and reduces unnecessary wear on the fan and other components. \n\n \n\n Source interest information below, please note the following: \n\n *This notice is not an open solicitation i.e., Invitation for Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposal (RFP). \n\n *Qualification testing and evaluation are required to become an approved source. \n\n *Source approval does not guarantee business. \n\n *Qualifying as an approved source only provides the opportunity to compete \n\n on future solicitations. \n\n Additional Information: \n\n *Source Approval Program \n\n https://tacom.army.mil/ombudsman \n\n *Source Approval Request (SAR) Package Requirements \n\n https://tacom.army.mil/ombudsman/source-approval-request \n\n Point of Contact: \n\n Title: Source Approval Officer \n\n Email: usarmy.detroit.tacom.mbx.mso-ombudsman@army.mil \n"} Solicitation Number: SPRDL126R0006 Type: Presolicitation Base Type: Presolicitation NAICS: 336390 Classification Code: 2930 Response Deadline: 2026-02-23T15:00:00-05:00 Office Address: WARREN, MI Place of Performance: Warren, Michigan POC: Travis Kelly, travis.kelly@dla.mil, 3855912859 {"description":" PRESOLICITATION NOTIFICATION \n\n SPRDL126R0006 \n\n Item Name: CLUTCH,FAN,ENGINE \n\n NSN: 2930-01-168-7870 \n\n Part No: 12339407/19207 \n\n Base Period Quantity: 5772 EA \n\n Option Period Quantity: 100% option \n\n End Item: High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV).
