Description
IE has a requirement for a forestry consultant, to include: • Afforestation Site Assessments • Form 1 Applications to the Department of Agriculture (DAFM) o To include all mapping requirements o Site notice installation o INET application o Further Information Requests (FIRs) o Reports required for Forestry Appeals Committee • Reaction and Nitrogen (RandN) Surveys • Habitat Surveys • Peat Depth Surveys • Ornithology Surveys • Wetlands Habitat Surveys • Natura Impact Statements (NIS) • Drainage Surveys • Landscape Impact Assessments FIR responses are part of the overall costs, however if 3rd party costs are required to answer a FIR, these will be agreed separately with IE prior to commencing. IE are seeking companies; with core expertise in Form 1 afforestation applications for the Creation of Woodland on Public Land Scheme to DAFM. • who can provide an end-to-end service including site assessments, determining fencing requirements and all groundwork requirements, mapping, INET applications and all environmental surveys as required from DAFM for each individual site. • with the resources in place to cover a nationwide network of land banks owned by any of the CIE Group, and keep the client informed of application progress through to technical approval. • who must be a registered company and have registered foresters with the DAFM and who are CPD accredited on the list of approved foresters from DAFM. Note: If required, once technical approval is issued, the awarded forestry consultant will transfer approval in full to Irish Rail (as a registered Forestry Company), or any other forestry consultant at no additional charge. A separate tender will be developed to carry out any Form 2 (planting) and Form 3 (maintenance) work on sites submitted for application in this tender.
