Call for External Collaborator to Conduct Capacity Needs Assessment of Civil Society Social Protection Network in Malawi

Description

The assignment will involve reviewing existing literature, policies, and reports on social protection in Malawi, including the role of civil society and past capacity assessments, followed by stakeholder mapping to identify and categorize CSOs operating in social protection sector at national and subnational levels, including networks and community-based organizations. It will also include data collection through key informant interviews, focus group discussions, and surveys to engage CSO leaders, government representatives, and development partners. A comprehensive capacity analysis will be conducted to assess strengths, gaps, and contextual challenges affecting CSOs. The process will further include a stakeholder validation workshop to present and refine findings, culminating in the development of a practical capacity strengthening plan outlining short-, medium, and long-term priorities and approaches for institutional development.
