Purpose\nThe Kansas City VA Medical Center (KCVAMC) Surgical Services requires comprehensive surgical laser support to facilitate complex surgical procedures. Surgical lasers are essential for precision ablation and are used across a variety of clinical applications. This requirement includes the provision of laser equipment, accessories, and qualified technician services on an as-needed basis.\n2. Scope of Work\nThe contractor shall provide the following equipment and services:\n2.1 Equipment Types\nLumenis Pulse 120H Holmium Laser w/Moses Technology laser system must be housed at the VA Facility throughout the duration of the contract. \nCO OmniGuide laser systems as required\nCO Direct Line of Sight laser systems as required\nGreenLight laser systems as required\nKTP laser systems as required\nAura and Aura XP laser systems as required \nSphynx and Lumenis laser systems as required \nAloka ultrasound systems as required \n2.2 Accessories and Supplies\nLaser fibers \nHandpieces \nInstruments\nOther necessary accessories\n2.3 Services\nQualified technician support for equipment setup, operation, and malfunction response\nDelivery, setup, and removal of equipment per procedure schedule\nMaintenance documentation for all equipment used\n3. Service Delivery Requirements\nServices shall be provided on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the contract.\nAll equipment must be in optimum operating condition at the time of use.\nOnly the OR Scheduler or authorized designee may request laser services.\nServices will be requested only during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.\nNo services will be requested or reimbursed outside these hours, including weekends and federal holidays.\n4. Contractor Responsibilities\n4.1 Arrival and Check-In\nContractor must check in with the OR Unit Manager or designee upon arrival (5th Floor, OR).\nEquipment must be delivered to the OR front desk at least 1 hour prior to the scheduled procedure.\n4.2 Equipment Pre-Testing\nIf the laser is not housed at KCVAMC, it must undergo pre-testing by Healthcare Technology Management.\nIf the laser is already housed at KCVAMC, the contractor must still arrive 1 hour prior with all required supplies.\n4.3 Failed Equipment\nIf contractor-owned equipment fails inspection or pre-test, the VA is not obligated to reimburse for the cancelled or rescheduled procedure.\n4.4 Sterilization\nDeliver such items to Sterile Processing Service (SPS) (Ground Floor) at least 2 business days prior to the procedure.
