We require civil construction services to complete the required infrastructure improvements at the transfer station in accordance with the design documents attached to this RFP. The scope of work includes: • Improvements to stormwater drainage on the perimeter swales and the transfer station itself • Install of a new culvert, removal of a redundant culvert • Infill and regrade of the transfer station • Construction of a concrete pad for skip bins • Installation of a retaining wall and new handrail for ease of disposal of refuse • Rebuild the hardstand including installation of concrete footing with handrail and barrier and final line marking • Construction of a new stabilised rock lined open channel • Reinstate site including re-grassing, planting and reinstating all offices, bins and other equipment The contractor must demonstrate proven experience in managing civil construction activities, maintaining safe work practices, and delivering high quality outcomes in operational environments. The overarching objective is to support safer, more efficient, and sustainable site operations at the transfer station for both the public and contractors. To achieve this, we require a contractor who can: • Plan and deliver the works efficiently • Maintain high standards of health and safety and environmental management • Provide clear proactive communication throughout the project including collaboration and coordination with NPDC staff and stakeholders The successful contractor will be expected to work in a manner that supports NPDC’s commitment to safe operations, community wellbeing, and long term asset performance.
