This is a RFI/sources sought only. The purpose of this sources\nsought/RFI is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification relative to\nNAICS 333924. Responses to this sources sought will be used by the Government to make appropriate\nacquisition decisions. After reviewing the responses to this sources sought, a solicitation announcement\nmay be published. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not considered adequate responses\nfor a solicitation announcement.\n\nThe Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), VISN 15 Network Contracting Office, is seeking sources that\ncan provide the following:\n\nForklift for the Topeka VA Medical Center at 2200 Gage Blvd Topeka, KS 66622.\n\nIt is the responsibility of the interested source to demonstrate to the government that the interested\nparties can provide the supplies/services that fulfill the brand name.\n\nIf you are interested and are capable of providing the sought-out supplies/services, please provide the\nrequested information as well as the information indicated below. \n\nResponse to this notice should include company name, address, point of contact, size of business pursuant to the following questions:\n\nPlease indicate the size status and representations of your business, such as but not limited to: Service\nDisabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), HUBZone,\nWoman Owned Small Business (WOSB), Large Business, etc.)\n\nIs your company considered small under the NAICS code identified under this RFI?\n\nAre you the manufacturer, distributor, or an equivalent solution to the items being referenced above?\n\nIf you re a small business and you are an authorized distributor/reseller for the items identified above or\nan equivalent solution, do you alter; assemble; modify; the items requested in any way? If you do, state\nhow and what is altered; assembled; modified?\n\n Does your company have an FSS contract with GSA, VA NAC, NASA SEWP, or any other federal\ncontract, that can be utilized to procure the requirement listed above. Responses to this sources sought notice are not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation\n\n\nDEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS MEDICAL CENTER\n TOPEKA VA MEDICAL CENTER\n\nSTATEMENT OF REQUIREMENT \n\nReplacement of Clark C35L Forklift\n\nThe purpose of this procurement is to obtain an updated 10,000 lb. capacity forklift capable of completing heavy workloads.\n\nThe contractor (as the manufacturer or an authorized distributor) shall install and deliver new equipment only. No refurbished, returned or used equipment is permitted. All equipment provided must also include training at no cost for grounds department staff to service/repair/maintenance the machine.\n\nThe Vendor shall provide a name brand or equal to forklift with the following specifications and requirements that are equal to or similar:\n\nLift capacity minimum of 10,000 lbs at 24 load center\nTurbocharged diesel engine for maximum durability\nEmissions are to be Tier 4 without the requirement of Diesel Particulate filter or ReGen\nTilt steering\nGrab bar\nElectronic direction control\nFully integrated gauge display/dashboard\nDiagnostic Warning\nTotal height maximum of 91 or lower\nTwo forward speeds\nAir filled tires\n72 long forks\nElectronic backup alarm\nDeluxe lighting package\nStrobe warning light\nDual panoramic mirror\nFour function mast (lift/lower, tilt forward/back, shift left/right, hydraulicly powered forks to narrow/widen to accommodate multiple widths of pallet without requiring the operator to leave the seat\nMinimum 12 month full warranty\nConsideration of the facilities current forklift for trade in value.\nDelivery: The machine will be delivered and installed at the Colmery O Neil VAMC in Topeka, KS.\nService: Vendor must ensure that there is an available dealer of the brand of equipment within 30 miles of the campus for quick availability of parts, service and repair. Vendor must be within the VA s current approved vendor network.\n\n"}
