This device will enhance the facility s capability to meet mandatory compliance standards and ensure optimal and safe treatment delivery to Veterans receiving radiation therapy. \nThe Radiation Oncology Department requires accurate, real-time beam profile measurements for photon and electron beams, ensuring optimal operation and safety of radiation therapy equipment in accordance with AAPM Task Group recommendations.\nThe IC Profiler shall measure beam profiles for photon and electron energies consistent with the facility s treatment equipment. The system shall include compatibility with Varian LINACs. Detector spatial resolution shall be < 5 mm. System accuracy shall meet or exceed American Association of Physicist in Medicine (AAPM) TG-142 recommendations.\nEngaging a different vendor would introduce the risk of incompatible components, require significant infrastructure modification, delay testing validation, and potentially interrupt clinical care.
