The scope of this RFP covers full design, construction and delivery of the office/classroom buildings under NZS 3916:2013 Conditions of Contract (Design and Build) with NZDF Special Conditions (draft appended to the RFP). Due to the site location, NZDF places great importance on minimising disruption to daily operations within Devonport Naval Base. For this reason, we are seeking Off-Site Manufactured (OSM) solutions only. The anticipated build commencement date will be around September 2025, once NZDF has the appropriate approvals and the contract has been signed. This will be a standalone project with no rights of renewal. We need a Contractor experienced in managing NZS3916 Design and Build contracts, that can deliver the full scope of works in a timely manner. Contractors who choose to respond will be required to confirm capacity and availability to meet proposed build commencement dates, and acknowledge that they understand the security accreditation requirements to be able to access a Defence site.
