The LBP scheme is an occupational licensing regime administered by the Occupational Regulation team at Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE). The LBP scheme is responsible for ensuring LBPs are competent by assessing that applicants to the scheme meet the minimum competency standards. Individuals who wish to become LBPs are assessed by an assessor who is contracted to the Occupational Regulation team. Assessors are technical experts who hold a licence and/or have relevant experience in the licence class they are assessing. Ngā mihi.
