58580: RFI for Defence Test and Evaluation- SIA and TEAB

In 2024, Defence released the Defence Industry Development Strategy, which states Defence’s intent to support development of priority industry capabilities in test and evaluation, certification and systems assurance (TESCA) and to develop its relationships with industry to achieve better partnering and contracting arrangements for the delivery of TESCA services.To support this objective, and following previous engagement with industry, Defence is undertaking a range of initiatives to support better engagement and consultation with industry, identification and prioritisation of investment in test and evaluation capabilities across the enterprise and inform the development of future strategic partnerships. These initiatives were discussed in the Test and Evaluation Industry Webinar held 08 May 2025. The webinar recording and a FAQ of industry questions will be released shortly on the of the Defence website but can also be found in Austender.Two of these initiatives are the appointment of a Strategic Industry Advisor (SIA) and the establishment of a Test and Evaluation Advisory Board (TEAB).This RFI seeks expressions of interest for both the SIA role and TEAB appointments for considering during 2025 and for ongoing appointments over the next few years as well feedback on the function and operation of these anticipated appointments.
