Nature surveying, framework agreement

Buyer
Gjesdal Kommune
Published
February 9, 2026

Description

Gjesdal municipality needs assistance for nature surveying within the municipality. The mapping work will support decisions related to land-use planning, nature management, environmental condition assessments, and reporting in accordance with current standards and regulations. Gjesdal is a municipality with rich biodiversity and a wide variety of landscapes, ranging from coast and fjord to mountains and heathlands. We have good/moderate knowledge of habitat types for approximately 13% of the municipality’s area. For large parts of the municipality, both mapping and documented knowledge are still lacking. Within the municipality, there are several records of vulnerable and valuable habitat types, including coastal heathlands, semi-natural grasslands, grazing and hay meadows, rainforests, and brackish-water deltas. Gjesdal municipality primarily needs assistance for projects that receive “Natursats” funding through the Norwegian Environment Agency’s grant scheme.
