This requirement is anticipated to be procured sole source to Lockheed Martin Missile and Fire Control, \n\n The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Program Office, PMA-201, Patuxent River, Maryland, intends to enter into sole source negotiations and subsequently award an order to Lockheed Martin Corporation, Missiles and Fire Control (LMMFC), Archbald Pennsylvania off of corporate basic ordering agreement N00019-23-G-0003, under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.103-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The tasking for this order is for engineering and testing support for integration to improve the BDU-59C/B Laser guided training round (LGTR) and add an additional lug. This order is anticipated to be awarded no later than 4th Quarter of 2026. \n\n THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability by responding to this notice. The Government will consider all information received prior to the closing date of this notice. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.103-1, only one responsibility source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. A formal Request for proposal is anticipated in Q2 of 2026 \n\n GENERAL INFORMATION: Lockheed Martin is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of LGTR and as such is the only company that has the requisite knowledge, production tooling, facilities and technical data necessary to meet this requirement. There are no commitments by the Government to issue any solicitations, make an award(s), or to be responsible for any monies expended by interested parties before award of a contract for the efforts mentioned above.
