The Government upgraded some of the 4-inch wafers to 6-inch wafers and now holds 68,671 unfinished 4 inch (100mm) and 6 inch (150mm) wafers in reserve for release in times of national emergencies as required under the Strategic and Critical Materials Stock Piling Act, 50 U.S.C. 98 et seq.
