{"description":" NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE FOR \n\n US Army assessment of Thermal Power Station Operations \n\n This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT using Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR 13.106-l(b)(1). The US Army Contracting Command -Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) Installation & Technology Division 6472 Integrity Court, building 4401 Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005-1846; has a requirement to procure the following service: \n\n The primary objective is to ten-day (80-hour) in-person training course, which must include classroom instruction, hands-on training with nuclear reactor control room simulators, and a site visit to an operational commercial nuclear power production plant. \n\n The secondary objective is to build proficiency in core mission competencies. must address reactor plant control room operations, identification of plant parameters with related indicators and controls, identification of safe shutdown procedures with related indicators and controls, and identification of control adjustments necessary to maintain the plant in a safe condition. The course must include topics on accident analysis of light water reactor systems and severe accident management procedures. \n\n The service is for a 12-month base period. \n\n PLACE OF PERFORMANCE: \n\n The primary place of performance should be an industrial-scale nuclear fuel cycle complex with a capacity to support up to 15 attendees in both classroom and operational environments. \n\n The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source contract to Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, 1000 Westinghouse DR Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania 16066-5228 United States. \n\n The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAlCS) Code is \n\n 611310 (Colleges, Universities, and Professional Schools.) and the Size Standard is $35M. \n\n All responses received within five businesses (5) days after date of publication of this notice will be considered by the Government.
