This Contract covers the maintenance of street, reserve, and cemetery trees, as well as other trees that the Principal may own or have an interest in managing or maintaining within the Waimakariri District. The main tasks involved in this Contract are: • General scheduled/programmed tree and shelterbelt maintenance to ensure health, safety, and aesthetics. • Juvenile tree establishment and care. • Responding to allocated Customer Service Requests. • Implementation of watering programmes. • Updating and maintaining the Tree Asset Register and database. • Storm damage clean-up and emergency response as required. • Providing qualified arborist stand-over as requested. • Preparing Tree Protection Management Plans as requested. • Conducting Visual Tree Assessments as requested. • Identifying and reporting issues or hazards. • Providing technical and professional advice as requested. • Delivery of mulch or other items to Council yards and local community groups as requested. Work that is excluded from this Contract: • Trees on forestry blocks, rail corridors, camping grounds, and some domain land leased to others. • Trees not currently included in the Tree Asset Register. • Other areas that will be identified by the Principal.
