Procurement of Sewing Machines

Introduction The Government of the Republic of Türkiye has obtained a loan from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) , for the Financing of t he U pland Rural Development Programme (URDP), which is implemented in two regions, in a total of eight provinces: Eastern Mediterranean (Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Kahramanmaraş) and Western Black Sea (Bartın, Kastamonu, Sinop, Çankırı). During the implementation, program will focus its activities on uplands and transitional areas in the programme provinces where farm and pastureland is mostly above 600m and where most of the forest villages and neighboring forest villages are located. However, some villages located below 600m (i.e., between 400 and 600 m) may also be selected on the basis of topographic factors: i.e., located in steep, sloping areas and presenting characteristics similar to upland villages, being particularly disadvantaged due to their location, make them eligible and worthy for the programme support. This programme is funded by IFAD and being conducted by Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Turkey (MoAF) and UNDP is an implementing partner in this programme to conduct procurements. Under this Project, UNDP kindly requests your quotation for “ Procurement of Sewing Machines" as detailed in Technical Specifications provided as Annex 1 of this RFQ.
