Any Pathology services provided must be performed and signed by an American Board of Pathology and Anatomic Pathology certified Pathologist. Malignancies are confirmed by a second Pathologist prior to issuance of the final report. Malignancies are called to the ordering provider. Communication is documented on the report that includes the information of who called, who was notified, the specific diagnosis that was communicated, and the date and time of the communication.
