The sole source determination is based on the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Services requirement for the preventative maintenance service contract for this highly specialized equipment that can only be performed by Thermo Fisher Scientific as they are the sole manufacturer of the 7500 Real Time PCR System. Thermo Scientific maintains intellectual property rights to its data collection software and service tools software. Third-party resellers and service providers are strictly prohibited and unauthorized to access, use, or sell this software. Doing so strictly violates their intellectual property rights. The period of performance is 01/05/2026 – 01/04/2027 with 4 option years. \n\n The applicable size standard is North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 811210 with a size standard of $34.0 million.
