Developing National Stocktake System for Global Efforts on Climate Change

The overall objective of the project is to make Türkiye more equipped for climate change mitigation. The Contractor is expected to conduct the following activities: By taking into consideration the recent developments regarding the global stocktake (GST) under the Paris Agreement negotiations, this project will be linked with the global stocktake process under Paris Agreement. The Plan of National Stocktake System (NSS) will be created via need assessment, the gap analysis, sector analysis; sectoral technical dialogues; attending the international meetings for climate negotiations; conducting study visits on the models of stocktake systems; preparing the synthesis report of each sectoral technical dialogue. A national model of stocktake system will be designed; sectoral input collection guidelines will be prepared; trainings will be conducted on sectoral input collection methodologies for targeted institutions; National institutional capacity will be increased to implement National Stocktake System; trainings will be conducted on the issue of process of NSS and the communication strategy of NSS will be prepared.
