Over the last 18 years the Ministry of Education have upgraded over 700 fire alarm systems at schools throughout New Zealand. The aim of the program is to replace all old type B class change and obsolete systems with ones complying with the current building code requirements and New Zealand Standards. We are now into stage 26 of the program and Midhirst School is in the next group of schools to qualify under the program. The specification has been changed from previous stages of the program. Ensure you carefully read it for the changes. A pre-tender meeting to discuss expectations and changes will be held at 10am on Wednesday 12 November 2025.
