What we need The Terrace Footbridge is a 15m long single-span timber bridge located between The Terrace (via an alleyway) and Port Loop Road, providing pedestrian access over the KiwiRail Main South Line. The existing bridge is currently closed and requires significant repair and strengthening work before it can be reopened. We are seeking to engage an experienced and capable contractor to provide two options: Option 1 - Carrying out the required repairs Option 2 - Removal of the bridge Both options are to be submitted and will be evaluated separately before a final decision is made on the preferred option. What’s important to us? The successful contractor will need to have demonstrated capability to deliver the scope of contract, apply appropriate methodology and meet all quality assurance requirements. They will need to be capable of managing the challenges associated with carrying out this work over the rail corridor, with a strong focus on site safety.
