{"description":"\nSTATEMENT OF WORK\n\nTITLE OF CONTRACT: Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Mobile Medical Unit (MMU-01) Paint, Body, and Vinyl Wrapping.\nBACKGROUND: VHA OEM has acquired a Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) that brings primary care and essential health services to rural communities facing challenges in attracting and retaining healthcare providers. MMU s also serve Veterans who may be underserved or reluctant to seek care through traditional brick-and-mortar facilities. This MMU has been turned over rather than purchasing new as this would be more advantageous to government spending. However, the exterior of the vehicle is heavily corroded and in need of paint and body work to ensure structural integrity before being wrapped with graphics.\nSTATEMENT OF NEED: VHA OEM has a 2010 Freightliner M2 MMU that is heavily corroded with various locations of rust and body damage. The MMU must be broken down, sanded, primed/painted and wrapped in graphic images. Additionally, OEM is requesting that all services performed are conducted within a 40-mile radius of the Martinsburg VA campus. The C&A requirements do not apply; a Security Accreditation Package is not required.\nOBJECTIVES: The service provider shall deliver specific actions as described below within this Statement of Need (SON) \nRepair Corrosion and Body Damage to Left and Right Compartment Doors \nThe MMU will have all locations of surface corrosion sanded, epoxy or rust prevention sealed to all compartment doors and have primer/paint coat applied.\nRepair Corrosion and Body Damage to Unit Body\nThe MMU will have all areas of surface corrosion sanded, epoxy or rust prevention sealed to all of unit body and have primer/paint applied.\n \nPrime and Paint Day Cab \nThe MMU will have the entire day cab sanded, epoxy or rust prevention sealed as required and have primer and paint applied. Color will match base color of vinyl wrap. \nRemove and Replace Driver and Passenger side Fuel Tank Steps\nThe MMU will have both driver and passenger side fuel tank steps replaced to meet manufacturer standards.\nVinyl Wrap Box Body\nThe MMU will have entire box body wrapped with vinyl per design layout provided by OEM.\nCompletion of work \nThe provider of service will be a freightliner certified repair shop. The provider will complete the repairs within twenty (20) working days from receiving the DUV from OEM and all repair parts from suppliers.
