{"description":" This is a solicitation notice prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 5. This notice also serves as the public announcement of the government’s intent to award on a sole source basis, as required by FAR 5.101(c). This is not a request for competitive quotes. \n\n Notice of Intent to Award on a Sole Source Basis \n\n The Medical Readiness Contracting Office – Pacific (MRCO-P) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to: \n\n Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. \n\n 511 Benedict Avenue \n\n Tarrytown, NY 10591 \n\n CAGE Code: 1K2V6 \n\n The authority for this non-competitive simplified acquisition action is 41 USC 1901(e)(2). In accordance with FAR 12.102(a), the government documented its decision that only one source is reasonably available to provide the required Repair and Preventative Maintenance of the CA-660 Coagulation Analyzer for Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright Alaska. The basis for this decision is that Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. is the only source capable of meeting the government’s requirement because Siemens is the exclusive service provider for the Sysmex CA-660. Only Siemens trained personnel using Sysmex original equipment manufactured parts and materials can be used to repair the Sysmex CA-660. \n\n Interested parties who believe they can satisfy the requirements listed in the solicitation may identify their interest and capability by submitting a capability statement to the point of contact listed below. This documentation must be submitted no later than 7 April 2026, 1000 AM HST. The government will review any capability statements received and may amend this solicitation if it is determined that a competitive procurement is in the best interest of the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. \n\n This notice serves as the formal solicitation for the intended source. Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics Inc. is requested to submit a quote in response to the attached SF Form 1449 and the instructions contained herein. \n"}
