Refurbishment of Nurses’ Home Bathrooms and Shower Rooms

Description

The project comprises the refurbishment of existing bathrooms, showers, and WC facilities in the Nurses’ Home (West Block), Rotunda Hospital. Works include: Demolition and removal of existing sanitary ware, partitions, cubicles, showers, baths, WHBs, risers, ceilings and finishes. Installation of new level-access showers, wall-hung WCs, wash hand basins, IPS panels, sanitary fittings, and associated pipework. Provision of new Altro Aquarius R11 non-slip flooring, Whiterock finishes, and suspended ceilings with moisture-resistant tiles. Mechanical works including new hot/cold pipework, isolation valves, drainage, ventilation fans and connections to existing services. Electrical works including replacement of light fittings with IP-rated LED, testing and commissioning. Fire-stopping to risers and penetrations. General builder’s work, access and protection in a live acute hospital environment. Part M compliant level-access showers and sanitary fittings All works are to be carried out to current Building Regulations, HBN/HTM guidance, and infection control standards
